Description
Oral proposals are timed, solution-focused “team job interviews” that either substitute for or augment written proposals. They are an opportunity for the Government to evaluate your solution through the prism of your people. An oral presentation to the Federal Government is not a traditional sales or marketing briefing, an investor pitch, a written proposal summarized in slides, a job interview, or a typical briefing to corporate, military, or Government officials. Instead, it is a complex hybrid of all of these, and then some. It poses unusual challenges in design, organization, and speaker preparation.
This comprehensive self-paced course provides all the knowledge necessary to coach your team to win in orals, including the challenging GSA FEDSIM Orals. It covers key skill areas such as managing blended written and oral proposals, developing slide decks and oral presentation content, and preparing for orals coaching. It also covers multiple types of orals— including in-person, virtual with and without video, teleconference, and recorded video formats— and shows how to tailor your proposal process to meet RFP requirements.
The course explains how to prepare based on the time allotted for the oral presentation, how to brainstorm on your solution and develop supporting graphics, and how to plan and manage orals rehearsals. You’ll learn to coach presenters, prepare them for Q&A sessions, and deliver persuasive scenario or live sample task responses. The program also includes strategies to help your team appear cohesive and confident throughout the presentation.
There are “right ways” to create, deliver, and support a compelling oral proposal— and there are common pitfalls that must be avoided. This course shares proven practices on how to design and deliver winning oral presentations, preparing your team to perform at their best.
