If you’re a Maryland-based small business considering SBIR/STTR funding—but not sure where to start—this is your opportunity.
TEDCO’s SBIR/STTR Technical Assistance Program is now accepting applications, with the next cohort kicking off May 7.
This program is designed specifically for companies that haven’t yet received an SBIR/STTR award and want expert guidance to get there.
Why This Matters
SBIR/STTR (known as “America’s Seed Fund”) provides non-dilutive funding to help startups develop and commercialize innovative technologies.
But the process is complex—and that’s exactly where this program comes in.
What You’ll Get
Through this hands-on workshop series (delivered by OST Global Solutions), you’ll leave with a clear path to a competitive SBIR/STTR submission. You will:
- Understand SBIR/STTR program requirements and funding pathways
- Identify the right agency and solicitation for your technology
- Develop a strong technical and commercialization strategy
- Build a competitive proposal (with budget guidance included)
- Receive individual expert reviews to strengthen your submission
Participants gain both training and direct feedback—critical for improving proposal quality and increasing competitiveness.
Who Should Apply
- Maryland-based small businesses
- Early-stage or growing tech/life sciences companies
- Teams with little to no SBIR/STTR experience
Key Dates
- Application Deadline: April 30
- Program Kickoff: May 7
Spots are limited, and this cohort is expected to fill quickly.
