The session focused on a critical reality many firms overlook: getting “on” a vehicle is only valuable if you are qualified and prepared to win once approved.

A key takeaway was the importance of qualification before pursuit. OST emphasized structured gap analyses and scorecard assessments to determine whether a company truly aligns with a target vehicle. Weak positioning, incomplete evidence, and poor scoring strategies are common reasons companies fail before they even start or waste resources chasing the wrong opportunities.

The webinar also broke down vehicle-specific onboarding expectations, including OASIS+, Army MAPS, DoD SOF GDS, GSA MAS, and SeaPort, with a strong focus on how scoring criteria directly impact competitiveness.

Equally important, attendees learned that approval is just the beginning. OST outlined how companies must immediately shift to task order targeting, solution alignment, and pricing strategy to generate revenue. Waiting until after award to plan is a costly mistake.

For small to mid-sized businesses especially, the message was clear: success comes from disciplined preparation, not assumptions.
